Firstly, apologies for the late meeting notice for this Thursday at the Beach House Restaurant. With our next fundraising event (a race night) on the 18th September, there is not a lot of time to get everything finalised and hence the need for an urgent meeting.
There is also plenty to update you on with regard to the Bonfire event itself… progress is being made on all fronts and so we now need to start gearing up to make it all happen on the 13th November 2010.

We are also pleased to say that we will be getting some much needed coverage in the next issue of Inside Shoreham magazine. The magazine article will also highlight our next planned meeting on Tuesday 22nd September, the primary focus of which will be fundraising.

Congratulations to Beach Dreams
We hope all Bonfire Society members went along to Beach Dreams at some point and enjoyed a really brilliant weekend of sunshine, music, and some serious chilling with friends.
Well done to Andrew, Scott and Brent and to everyone who got involved, it was brilliant.
It was also good to see tribute paid to our supporters Toni and Helen who with others ran the catering for the first time, as well as Vicki and Leslie who did so much in the past to make the Beach Dreams event happen.
Next stop Bonfire!
OK, so now Beach Dreams is over, the summer is well underway and it won’t be too long until our next fundraiser and then, of course, the big event itself! To get things moving the agenda for the next meeting is:
- Permissions and Bonfire event plan
- Ceilidh – our next fundraiser
- Any other business

Following the successful quiz night on Saturday, the next Bonfire Society meeting is on Tuesday 25th May. It will be held at the Beach House Restaurant starting at 7pm.

We are pleased to say that the evening was profitable as well as fun, and so we have made a good start to our fundraising efforts.
We still have a long way to go though – and so at our next meeting we will be planning our next event… a Ceilidh night.

A Quiz Night is being held to raise money for the 2010 Shoreham Bonfire event. To be held in Shoreham the quiz night will be on Saturday 15th May 2010. There will be a fun quiz with prizes and a meal (bring your own drinks).
Tickets will be £7 per adult, £4 for kids up to age of 14.
Tickets are available at Toast by the Coast and the Beach House Restaurant.
Tomorrow’s meeting of the Shoreham Bonfire Society is at the Beach House Bar in Shoreham’s East Street at 7pm. The main items to discuss are the fund raising quiz night to be held on the 15th May 2010.

Same place, new time for the next Shoreham Bonfire Society meeting. We are kicking off at 7pm, not our usual 8pm, at the Beach House in East Street, Shoreham.
